Kickstarter Donations Deliver Charlie The Unicorn Finale

The news we’ve all longed for has finally been confirmed – Charlie The Unicorn is set to return.

Sadly, that return is set to be the final appearance of the YouTube sensation, but it will last at least 30 minutes according to the cartoon’s creator Jason Steele.

Steele announced that he desired to create one more episode of the show via YouTube, but there was a caveat – he needed the donations of fans via Kickstarter to make the finale a reality.

Steele has already received over $97,000 (roughly £69,700) from dedicated fans, more than twice the original target of $35,000 (roughly £25,000).

It isn’t hard to understand why the campaign was so successful. Besides having a dedicated cult following, Steele promised anyone that donated $500 would have a character designed after them.

The money raised will apparently go towards Steele’s purchase of a new computer, plus living costs, and as the original target has been surpassed, the surplus will be invested in increasing the production value.

According to the Kickstarter page, the final episode will be delivered in December of this year.

We can’t wait!
